3 Location of Meditation - not required:

Updated: Jul 19

It is customary across religions to try to contain spirituality within specific locations, some being considered more sanctified than others (so called abodes). Whatever the emanation of the houses of the holy, whether of a congregational centre or natural object (swayambu) these will always have secondary significance. The location of meditation will always be within and not without. Congregational or proper collective meditative experience (silent) is a periodical enhancement of the individuals' meditation but cannot replace it. . Meditation is located in specific states of samadhi, not locations of chakras. The states are characteristically known as 1/ nirvichara, 2/ savikalpa and 3/ nirvikalpa states within sahaja yoga. They are distinguished through the depth and sustained duration of the uninterrupted silence resulting in the depth of the experience. They are the 3 stages of the meditation event. These days with the overemphasis on unnecessary additives even savikalpa is grossly restricted. The location of samadhi is in the silence. The "silence of the cosmos" is nto the mere silence of a few mometns of quiet in a room in between music tracks or in between the ocntinuous droning of a narrator under the pretense of guided medittion. The silence of the universe is a profound state and should not be trivialised into a mundane and common, "business as usual" situation.. . The condition of ascent is notably that of the nirvikalpa medititon state which cannto coincide with ongoing shallow savikalpa states.
